    Hello,

I just downloaded advanced ads and I got my google Adsense ads to work with it ,which is great! However, I have two big ads that continue to show up in the header and footer area. I changed the size adjustment on Google Adsense and just tried to archive the ad unit to stop it from showing up on the blog. The large ads still show up as the same size in the header and footer area. I was wondering if there was another way I could go about trying to get rid of just that ad unit.

I read the google adsense report for ads that are showing up in random areas, but I’m still a bit confused. I’d like to see if there is a way to manage it within advanced ads plugin. I created a new Google Adsense ad within the plugin and imported three different ad units from Google Adsense. Is there a better way to break up the Google Ads as specific units to control them better? At the moment, I don’t mind the other Google Adsense showing up automatically how they are.

    Thanks!

    Hi azonglis,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I see the ad that you are talking about on your website. It is an Auto Ad from Google AdSense. These ads can come to your site in 2 different ways. Firstly, by the inserted auto ads code (you can disable/enable this injection via checkbox in Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense > Verification code and auto ads). And secondly, those ads can be injected by manually placed ad units as well.

If you want to stop the Auto Ads globally, you can do so in your AdSense account for each domain (AdSense > Ads). If you’d like to use Auto Ads, but you’re uncomfortable with the positioning of the ads, you can also customize them in your AdSense account in the same menu and exclude certain positions.

    Best regards,
    Joachim

    Hey Joachim,

Thanks for your help again with the big ads. I tested out what you said and did make some tweaks. However, this last week or so I’ve noticed the big ads are back up? I made changes on Google Adsense and shut off Google auto ads. I also set the four Adsense ads I have inserted with fixed size restrictions. They are either 336-280 or 620-90 and smaller. Should this fix the issue now?

Even if I did have Google Ads turned off with these fixed size dimensions would Google Adsense still be placing the huge banners on the footer and header?

    Thanks again for your help!

    Anson
