I have been using this plugin for a while now, but this problem just recently started happening. Whenever I add content and click Publish or Update it resets everything to the default slider content/settings. I don’t see anything in the debug.log and I have tried disabling several plugins and it still won’t work. Please help.

Hi, can you tell me what content you are adding? Paste the content into your response.

Also, Switch your slide content editor to TEXT mode to view the HTML content – sometimes when you copy/paste content from another source (website, word/pdf document etc) into the visual text editor you get more than just plain text.

Sorry, I don’t think I explained well enough. I have tried testing with different types of content, but for example, I had a slider that I made a while back that has 7 slides of content and customized Slider Settings. Yesterday, I went to add another slide to it, and I was only able to see 3 slides and each of them say “Slide content” in the text area (both Visual and Text) and the Slider Settings are now the default settings. The weird thing is, if I duplicate this slider from the slider list, and Edit the draft, all my content is visible again, and my custom Slider Settings are back. But as soon as I click Publish and the page refreshes, it again shows the default 3 slides with “Slide content” in each and the default Slider Settings. I know this sounds confusing, sorry!

Morning, Sounds worrying and I’d like to get to the bottom of this.

I’m still thinking that there is something within the slide content that is causing SA to “break” when trying to save (the saving routine is falling over).

Now I would like to test this, so for your duplicated, draft-status slider can you send me (copy/paste) the content for your 7 slides, and can you copy the content whilst in TEXT editing mode for each slide (and not visual editing mode). I can then put this content into a test slider on my side.

It might be better if you initiate contact with me using the Contact Form at the bottom of this page:
    https://edgewebpages.com/

And then we can converse further via email as you slide content might be lengthy.
(and if I find a solution I’ll update this forum post)

Upon subsequent email conversations it seems there is a clash with the ‘Ajax Search Pro’ plugin. When this plugin was deactivated, Ashley was able to save the SA slider without issue.
