Chat transcript deletes when user clicks a different webpage

    We installed the plugin on our site. We’re running into an issue that if the user switches to a different page on the site, everything that we and they typed disappears. We still see it on the backend but the user sees a blank chat box. How do we fix that?

    Is it possible that you provide a link to your website? (you can edit your message soon after you post it for privacy reasons – we’ll still receive it)

    Generally, this sounds like the chat session is not properly initialised. If this is the case then you should be getting 403 errors in the browser console while chatting (as a user). This can happen for a number or reasons. Most commonly, something is blocking requests to the WordPress API.

    By the way if you are testing the functionality of the plugin, do not initiate a chat in the front-end while being logged into the back-end as it will not work. You need a different session – try chatting as a user from an incognito window.
