    You need to check with the searching your site in different search engines where you have submitted your site like google, yahoo, bing etc.., When you have submitted your site in search engines it will take 15-25 days to crawl by them.

    Once you found your site in search engines it means that your meta tags are working fine.

    I appreciate the answer! one last question, my site is medicalcodingstaffing.com, that shows up easily when i search.
    However, what if i want to appear when i search “medical coding Job” etc.
    is that much harder?

    You’d need to have this phrase or these words somewhere on your page to appear in search engine results for them. BTW, the meta keywords tag is totally ignored by search engines, so don’t bother with it. If you want to rank higher for your keywords, look into using SEO on your site (a seo plugin is not enough by itself for this).

    I assume that you are still working on your site because you currently have some very major code errors that need fixing.
