Disable Autohide Left and Right Boxes

  • At some point the Classic Editor has started to auto-hide the left column (Dashboard options) and the right column (Publish, Categories, Tags, Featured Image, etc.).

    This is a nightmare and really slows down used – even worse on an iPad where you have to make an additional tap to get the controls back to tape the one you want.

    How does one disable this auto-hide behaviour.

    (I appreciate WordPress Developers want to push people to Gutenberg but making the Classic Editor a “nightmare” is not the way to do that).

  • You can switch this off by >> Top Right (Just Below Howdy- User Name) >> Screen options >> Additional settings >>

    And uncheck box against

    Enable full-height editor and distraction-free functionality.

    That will solve this problem.
