Here, I’ll do the “hard work”, https://mosquito.www.ads-software.com/main_page.php

he must have missed the “report bugs you find” link when he downloaded wordpress.

Where on the www.ads-software.com site is there a link to the bug tracker? In a couple of minutes of poking around, I don’t see it. It should be more prominent.

    I think it’s good enough…

    https://www.ads-software.com/download/
    Scroll to the hyperlinked
    report bugs you find

I’ll have to disagree with you there. To me it doesn’t seem intuitive that I should find a link to bug reporting on the download page. It should be in the right-hand column under SEARCH on the SUPPORT page. I come to support to look for answers and help, not to the download page. :p

OR better yet, on the front page….

I did a search for bug, bugs, bugzilla, and all I got were requests for bug reporting systems.

question: If I am looking for a bug reporting system, why would I search for mosquito?

    That’s a very good question.

Telling you to search for mosquito assumes you have been around here for months and know that is the name of the bug tracker. But if you knew the name of the bug tracker, you would hardly be posting here to request that they install one!

In this case, as observed above, the location of the bug tracker is pretty well-hidden and a simple link to mosquito.www.ads-software.com would have been much more helpful and less patronising than yet another injunction to search. A link from the sidebar, or even in the top navigation, would be best of all. It’s a shame the forum redesign couldn’t incorporate that or a link to the codex.

Well at the very least, when people search for “bugs” they will hit this discussion thread and be pointed in the right direction. So at worse I might very well be the last annoying newbie to bring this up.

Bug(reporting) should be in the upper main menu and on every relevant page as an extra button/links.

Make stuff redundant – so people find them easier.

Should also be in the dashboard page.

    ??

Don’t worry, some people here get annoyed by anyone actually daring to ask a question ??

A “Reporting Bugs” page in Codex would be nice. Something along the lines of this adapted to WordPress and Mantis.
