Multi-step form validations not working

The field validations don’t seem to work for me with multi-step.

I have tested without multi-step and they work perfectly, so I don’t think it’s an issue with the theme.

If you click on “next” without filling out the form, on the first example you will see the box with errors highlight in red as well as a message below letting you know there are errors on the page.

When multi-step is used with the same boxes, no boxes are highlighted, but you still get the boxed message below.

Do you know what might be going wrong and/or what I may need to edit to get the box highlights working again?
