I’ve filled in all the information I know how to fill in according to the Meetup requirements. I’m able to connect to to the Meetup Authorization in the plugin settings. However, when I try to import meetup events into WordPress, I’m getting “Please try again after re-connect your account.” from this plugin. Why?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

As it turned out, I missed the “OR” part of the OAuth, Secret and API Key entry interface of the plugin. I was trying to enter all three when all I needed was OAuth and Secret, not the API Key. It works now.

While I’ve got you, one feature that would be helpful is some way to determine the order of events imported. For example, I imported two events but in the post list they’re showing with the exact same date import. On the website, the way posts are ordered by ID, this makes one event look like it’s going to happen before another, when the opposite is true. I changed the publish date and time by one minute between them to force the earlier event to show up first, followed by the later event. But I’ll have to do that manually each time I import and it keeps me from buying the Pro version because I’ll have a false sense that it is working when it might actually be confusing people about when the latest event will occur.

Just a feature request for a future version.

RC – are you displaying the events using some sort of magazine/blog function? I have no issues with posting order when using a calendar function. But when using my magazine function the order is descending from last event imported (published date = import date).

On my site https://www.hikingwithdean.com/ the left side has a magazine function (for my group events). The right side is calendar function showing other meetup groups. The latter is always in correct order by event time. The former will always show the last event imported in “feature” square regardless of meetup time. Sometimes I have to tweak publishing dates on left side depending on import time versus meetup time and what event I want featured.
