Domain Troubles and Forbidden Access

    Hello,

    Years ago, I purchased blurringborders.com to use as a WordPress site. Subsequently, I registered kevinpdonovan.com to use as a WordPress site.

    I let blurringborders.com lapse because I did not want to use that domain anymore. However, it seems someone has taken control of that and blocked me from accessing kevinpdonovan.com. Perhaps the latter domain was layered on top of the blurringborders.com domain?

    In any case, when I go to kevinpdonovan.com/wp-admin, it resolves to a blurringborders.com domain, and says I am forbidding from accessing it.?

    The blurringborders.com URL has been purchased by someone who is trying to make me pay.

    How do I access my website, kevinpdonovan.com, and make sure it is not linked to the blurringborders.com website??

    I contacted the registrar, Wild West Domains, for kevinpdonovan.com but they said that all assistance is meant to be handled by WordPress.

    I see bluehost is webhosting account connected to kevinpdonovan.com
    if Domain Name: KEVINPDONOVAN.COM set up to forward to blurringborders.com and you own kevindonovan.com — you can removed forwarding of domain name using the company that is your domain name registrar

    if blurringborders.com is set up IN the options table of the database connected to your WordPress site or within your webhosting account at bluehost, I would recommend contacting bluehost support for assistance to sort that out.

    (Volunteers on this forum do not have access to your webhosting or domain name controls.)

    Thank you. I will contact Bluehost to do as you suggest.

    I find Bluehost rather difficult, though. Since my website holds very little (it’s essentially text and some PDFs), is it possible to just host it on WordPress? (While keeping the domain?)

    you could use WordPress.com if you prefer not to use a webhosting company
    you could arrange to connect your domain name to WordPress.com
    you could add your content to WordPress.com
