Hello, I need help and solution. I followed these steps to get my API Key:
    https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key?authuser=1

I copied the API Key and added on the Geo Location field of WCFM, and nothing happened. Can you please give me any explanation or clue on why isn’t working? Do I need to create any screen consent OAuth? What am I doing wrong? Does google must validate my API key before use?

From my simple vision, this option on WCFM isn’t working at all. Please don’t give me tutorials/links to follow the same steps over and over again, I need real solutions.

    Thank you for your help.

    HI,

I think your Google Map API key is not right.

DO you have enabled “Places Library” for this key?

Please check in Google Chrome Browser console, is there any JavaScript error happening to the site regarding Map key?
(What is browser console – https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/232313848-How-to-open-the-developer-console)

Well, this will be best to contact directly with Google Map support, they will resolve this for you.

    Thank You

Why did you marked as resolved this topic if it wasn’t resolved yet?..

Does google maps API a free or paid service ?? Do I need to pay to integrate google maps in my marketplace ? (I read that google map api isn’t free anymore)..

How can I enable “Places Library”??.. can you please give me the steps to do that? (only if google map api is is still free)..

I read about this alternative to google maps: https://www.openstreetmap.org/
is it possible to integrate instead google maps??

    Thank you for your answers!

    Hi,

Sorry, as I have nothing to do with this so I had marked this resolved.

But no worries, I am also here to help you on this topic.

Well, Google map api is free/paid depend on it’s usage. It’s free upto a certain usage then it will charge you. But you have to add billing information during api creation, it’s mandatory now.

You may off course use Open Street Map, it’s free and WCFM has support for this. You have to set map library from WCFM Admin settings -> GEO Location

Feel free to know me if you have any other queries related to this.

    Thank You

Yes I need some help, because I would like to add the Open Street Map but I don’t know how to do this. I created an account on Open Street Map site but I couldn’t find how to create an API key to add under WCFM Admin Settings / Geo Location.

Could you please give me the specific steps to add the Open Street Map and make it to work properly? Your answer about this topic would be very useful for other people having exactly the same problem than me.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

Well, you don’t need any Open Street Map account.

Just go to WCFM Admin settings -> GEO Location and choose “Open Street Map” as Map library

    Thank You

Hi again, the open street map is working very well until now, but I found this little issue with my navigation menu:

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1aQoOb-r5nCiSA48gie8dL13RpXuZ-a1t

I created a page to list Store Vendors and my navigation menu appear under the Map. I’m using oceanwp theme.

I don’t want to open another topic because maybe we can solve here.

    If it’s map then that’s right short code – [wcfm_stores map=”no”]

Can you please with overlay on menu
