Duplicate content on product category pages

    Hello!

    I have Woocommerce product categories with duplicate content issues.

    So I have it set to max 12 products per category page. So what happens is when I have more than 12 products on a category page, a page 2 gets added which is fine. The problem is that I have added some text at the bottom of the category page (/wp-admin – woocommerce – categories – the specific category page – bottom content). So when a page has more than 1 category page, this bottom text also gets added to the other pages – resulting in duplicate content.

    Here are examples:

    https://bluegaz.se/produkt-kategori/paella/page/2/

    All of this is via the Woocommerce plugin. Now I am wondering, is there any way to make sure this doesn’t happen without having to change max nr of products per category page?

    Hi there Isabella,

    I believe you are referring to this content here:

    By default, the WooCommerce plugin doesn’t have a section for adding bottom content like that — just the Description which appears at the top of the Product Category page:

    I see that description field is only shown on the top of the first page for the Product category page, but not displayed on Pages 2+.

    I see you are using a Flatsome child theme on your site, so that bottom section is most likely being added in the theme. I’d recommend reaching out to your theme developer to ask about this bottom content.
