Author listed on admin dashboard is not the good one

    Hi,

    It’s a bit weird.
    In the admin I edited the authors in each posts and saved
    The authors on the live website is always displayed just fine.
    In the admin on the page listing all posts in a table there is column author. It shows the wrong author sometimes. I. mean not the one actually set in the post.

    do you understand ?
    Do you know what that can be ?

    It would be difficult to say anything based on the little information you provided. I suggest you install Health Check plugin and debug. It’s trouble shooting mode allows deactivating all the plugins only for admin user. Thus for site visitors your site remains normal.     Edit that page and go on top See “Screen Options”

    In Screen Option you see “Author” Tick mark on it

    After author marked Tick , you will see there is section in same page below of author , check dropdown list of authors you added, change author from there
