The page I linked to is one example of a simple page, but I get this on many of my pages.

In the Analysis section it shows some problems that do not seem to be real, from what I can see. For example, one problem is “your keyphrase does not appear in the first paragraph”. But it does. Its in the first sentence. Another problem is “no images appear on this page”. But clearly there are 3 images, and all have alt tags. Why are they showing up as problems?

Also, another one is “no internal links appear on this page” but I have breadcrumbs, does that count?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

In some cases, HTML code for images, styles, iframe, and videos may interfere with our page analysis’ ability to identify the first paragraph which results in the “Your keyphrase or its synonyms do not appear in the first paragraph” warning. Usually, when the first paragraph is not the first element in your article (i.e. there is an image before the first paragraph). However, this doesn’t mean that Google and other search engines won’t be able to see it, so if your first paragraph does contain your focus keyphrase, you can safely ignore this warning.

?Another possible cause for the SEO analysis to be unable to recognize the introduction or first paragraph is when you are using a page builder to create content. Can you let us know if you are using a pageb uilder plugin such as Visual Composer, Site Origin, Beaver Builder etc to create your page’s content? The SEO and readability analysis features can sometimes not work correctly if you are using some kind of visual page builder, as they can cause the page’s content to not be accessible to the plugin due to it being created outside the functions of the standard WordPress page editor. We also have additional information about this issue at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/warning-focus-keyword-not-in-first-paragraph/

If you are receiving this warning and you have confirmed that the focus keyword is in the first paragraph, you can ignore this warning, or alternately rearrange your content to begin with a paragraph.

As far as the page builder, my theme is Avada and so I am using the Fusion Page Builder.

    Hi,

Yoast is not compatible with every pagebuilder plugin or theme like Avada and Fusion Page Builder. If the plugin/theme has added the right code for Yoast to hook into, Yoast is expected to then scan those modules. We are not familiar with that plugin/theme so we are not sure if they have added the right code. We suggest contacting the plugin’s/theme’s authors and asking them if they have included the right code in all the modules for Yoast to scan.?

This guide explains more and includes links to the code they need to have:?https://kb.yoast.com/kb/is-the-plugin-compatible-with-xyz-visual-page-builder/.

In the meantime, please know that even though Yoast is showing warnings as long as you know you have added the right content like internal links, images, etc., so will Google. Google will still be able to scan the source code of the page.
