I’m using your 301 Redirects Plugin and have successfully redirected ten pages from one of my sites to identical pages on a new site on a new server. Instead of having one site with a fifty pages I now have two sites, the new site with ten pages, and the original site of fifty pages, but with ten of those pages redirected to the new site.

Thanks to your brilliant plugin the redirects work great, and I’m delighted at how things have gone. Thank you. You made what could have been hard work, very easy.

My only query is whether or not I can now delete the redirected pages from the original site. I’m guessing I can, but I’m not sure. Don’t want to delete original pages that have been 301’d in case that somehow stops the redirect. Am I right in thinking I can now delete the original pages now they are being successfully redirected.

    Hi,
You can safely delete those pages. However, you have to be careful of the way the redirect is set up. If it is linked to the page then you’ll have to recreate the redirect. If you already created a custom redirect that’s not linked to a page then you’re already good.

Deleted pages after diverting them using plugin, and all diverts still work to new site. Excellent. Thanks for prompt reply, and thanks for plugin.

    You’re welcome ??
If you have a minute, please rate the plugin. It’s what keeps it free. Thank you. https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/eps-301-redirects/reviews/#new-post
