I have an IIS hosted word press instance using windows platform installer.

Ive worked threw many issues to get this installation to work properly.

Everything works with the installation we have except We arent able to update the retina plugin.

    I get the following message:

Update Failed: Could not create directory. wp-retina-2x-pro/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser

I have made sure that the IIS User has the appropriate permissions to the folders needed.

I have manually created the folders it talked about.

I have tried to manually copy this folder from another WP instance to fix this problem.

    Suggestions? Ideas?

    Hello,

I have no idea unfortunately, it’s just a directories with files as any other. But maybe something happen in your cases and there are file rights issues for some reason. Have you tried removing the plugin completely and reinstalling it?

    Thanks for the fast response.
We moved everything over using WP DB Migrate Pro from another hosting.

What are the side effects of uninstalling and re-installing the plugin. Will configuration be lost or the plugins knowledge of posts that have already been made with it?

    Thanks again.

There are no side-effects at all, so don’t worry ?? You can uninstall and reinstall at will, it’s totally ok.
