Signed up for a trial(as I may need this for a client) and can’t even try it as I can’t even get the welcome emails to send. I’ve configured and enabled the smtp(have tried with private mail servers, gmail, and yahoo) every single one of them fail with “SMTP Failed to connect” with no additional information except a link to github? For example, I’ve tried the exact same gmail settings on other plugins that work completely fine, this seems to be the only plugin with an issue. Any ideas? I’ve spent over a day on trying to get this simple thing to work and it just wont.

Just want to update for clarification:

I think this has something to do with Godaddy’s Hosting. I installed the plugin to 4 sites on my private servers and had no issue whatsoever with the PHP mailer. I’m going to move a copy of the site to my private server and see if the issue persists, but I don’t think it will. Either way, I felt a duty to update this thread in case someone else runs into the issue.

Will update once I get the site to my other server and verify that the issue is resolved.

    Hi,
    Please update.

    Kind Regards

Sorry for the late response, I’ve been busy. But no, the issue did not persist when moving to another server. Not sure what’s up with Godaddy’s hosting.
