    Hi

Something weird has happened to my site:

    https://www.aliceralph.com/ishihara

I built it on a localhost (MAMP), uploaded it yesterday and site was working fine. All the images were showing – I even did a screen grab of the live online site to show the client. The wp-admin section is all also working fine, and images are in correct folder on my FTP. The images are also all listed under Media but do not show any previews.

As you can see, it’s as if it’s picking up the image details but just not showing the image.

I don’t understand because it was working 24 hours ago and I haven’t changed anything!

    Any ideas?? HELP!

    Hi again

I have just inspected it with Firebug and noticed that the image addresses have ‘https://localhost:8888/wp-content/uploads…’ instead of ‘https://www.aliceralph.com/ishihara/wp-content/uploads…’ etc.

However my WordPress address/URL within the Settings panel are set to the correct aliceralph.com address.

How can I change the image URLs? Evidently I have overlooked something when moving it!

    Thank-you! ??

Hello everyone, solved the problem. Was caused by the images being set as custom fields which I’d copy and pasted from the old URLs.

    Whew!!

Hi, could you explain exactly how you fixed that problem?

I’m having the EXACT same problem (also from a MAMP import). I see that the images still point to the localhost url, but I don’t know how to change that.

    Thanks!

Never mind, I fixed it. Thanks!

(and when I say I fixed it I mean someone fixed it for me, of course)

jesset, glad you got it sorted.

FYI (in case anyone else reads this) – my images were custom fields with the old URLs (localhost) copied and pasted into the custom field so hadn’t automatically updated. So I went back into each article and corrected the image URL within the custom field. There might be a quicker way of doing this, I don’t know, but I only had 10 articles so it was pretty quick.

I’m not sure why the images didn’t disappear immediately upon upload, perhaps something to do with cookies?
