Stock Management and CVS Uploads

    It seems that if the fields in the csv file for “In stock?” are set to 1 and stock management is disabled at the product level and at the site level everything is still out of stock! Why? It would seem to me if manage stock is disabled it should be disabled no matter what “In stock?” says.

    I don’t quite understand the use-case here – Can you share a copy of your CSV file to test locally?

    Its not a problem directly with the csv. Its a problem with the logic of how the system uses stock management. If stock management is DISABLED then NOTHING in the spreadsheet having to do with stock or instock should matter.

    Hi there,

    To clarify, the “Manage stock” setting (at the site-level or product-level) determines whether it’s keeping track of a stock count (ex: “56 stock remaining”, and the “low stock warning”, etc). However, even if that is disabled, products still have a separate stock status (they can be marked “In stock”, “Out of stock”, or “On backorder”), they just don’t increase/decrease stock levels when orders are placed, etc:

    From your initial message though, you said you have “In stock” set to 1 (true), and “Manage Stock” disabled, but everything is still out of stock, which does not sound like it should be happening.
