Hello. I’m trying to set up a flipped responsive table on a site I’m building. I’ve got most figured out, but in two cells, I need two paragraphs of text. But the text just flows in a straight line clear off the page and does not wrap within the cell. Can you point me in the right direction to resolve this? I’d greatly appreciate it. I have the header at the left, then want two “columns” to fill out the rest of the content width. On mobile, I just want the header and one additional column to show and the other to show when you scroll horizontally. Hope that makes sense!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m afraid that this will not really work. Due to how the flip mode works technically, it needs to write all text without line breaks, as the heights of the table header row cells (shown on the left side) and the normal body rows would otherwise not match.

For this, I would therefore suggest to create the table in the “flipped” version, and change the styling accordingly. To get the first column to stick on the left side, you could then use the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-fixedcolumns/

    Regards,
    Tobias

Okay, no problem. Thanks. I found a comparison table widget that works perfectly for this application. Thanks again!
