Missing “Add Category” button under Posts/Categories

  • I have installed WordPress 2.8.5 and have been trying to set up a new Category under the Posts/Categories option.
    I can type in the Category “Name” and Category “Description” but for some reason the “Save Category” button is missing. It’s simply not present.
    I’m very new to all of this so I could do with a little help. The problem has stopped me in my tracks and I can’t move on without setting up Categories.

    Any thoughs welcome.

  • Check to see if you have the Category Overload plugin installed. I had this one in one of my blogs and it made the Save Category button dissapear. If you deactivate Category Overload and check, the button should reappear.
