WordPress 2.8.5 no longer posting articles

  • My word press has stopped functioning. I can change settings, do everything else with it on the Dashboard; but every time I try to post a new article and click Save and Publish; it redirects me to Edit Posts — And never gives me confirmation or even posts the new article. It is as if it is on a standstill.

    I manually upgraded from 2.8.4 to 2.8.5; everything else works except posting new articles which is essentially the main idea of the whole program. And it worked before I upgraded.

    Is there a way to revert to 2.8.4? Like uploading the old wp-includes/wp-admin folders? And if that is not possible — Is anyone else having this problem with 2.8.5?

  • 2.8.5 upgrade stopped our ability to edit anything in our static pages. We can add new ones, but not edit old ones. And most of our plugins completely stopped working. We are restoring 2-3 days prior to the update and staying with previous version. 2.8.5 obviously has some issues.

    I can no longer post.
    It hangs at the Save Draft part.

    Seems to be a Firefox 3.x issue.
