Interaction with roles

I want to allow some user on my site to edit and create Events
I am using a Role manager plugin called Members.
I created a role called “Event_manager” and I believe I granted every permission associated with The Events Calendar.
However, when a Member with Event_Manager role tries to work on events, they get an insufficient privilege error.
If I add “Editor” role, then they can edit Events. But a lot of other stuff comes along with Editor role. Is there a way make this work without assigning Editor role?

Maybe a list of permissions needed to just enable Event managing without much else?
