Hi love the plugin, is there a way to have a photo from an album loaded through photonic google photos, be automatically used as a post’s feature image?

I know this can be done if direct image links are used in the post, but not when its a plugin album like this?

    Thanks

Short answer: no, there is no such way, nor is there any plan to provide such a capability at any point in the future.

Long answer: any given post can have multiple galleries, and any given gallery may not have photos at all (rather the gallery might be a collection of albums). Both of these make it impossible to programmatically pick out a “featured photo”. Moreover, gallery plugins generally don’t deal with featured images, so this has never been in the plan for Photonic. As per standard WP behaviour if you add a gallery to a post, that doesn’t automatically pick a photo from it and make it featured – the featured image has to be explicitly assigned to the post. Photonic follows the same philosophy.
