This came up previously, and there were a bunch of people that have the same issue, but I’m being told that since virtually nobody has this issue, they are not in any rush to fix it.

How many of you need items with multiple attributes (like with clothing – Size and Color) to sync from Woocommerce to Square? If you sell ANY clothing type products, i would suspect you need this correct?

This USED to work in 1.0.38, but since 2.0 and up, it no longer works. There was a thread about it and the woocommerce rep said to back down to 1.0.38. Is that what everyone did? Or, are you still having an issue?

If this is a problem, PLEASE comment here to show that it is important. Otherwise it may never get addressed.

Here is the link to an older thread where we were told to go to 1.0.38. Is that what everyone did?

@naroescapemotor I reverted my version to 1.0.38 which is working although it does still randomly disconnect from my business location and therefore mess up my inventory sync. But that version is where I plan to stay until my new Shopify website is ready. ??

    Hi there @naroescapemotor,

I apologize for the late reply!

You’re absolutely right that currently, our extension is not syncing products with multiple attributes to Square. You can use the following workaround to still sync your products: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-square/#q-why-cant-i-sync-products-with-multiple-attributes

    Hi Elvira K
Unfortunately that ‘work around’ is not possible. with over 2000 products, the VAST majority have multiple attributes, that’s just not feasible. For example: one product line we have has 10 versions/models and each version has anywhere from 5-7 colors and 12 sizes. There is no possible way to break those out into individual offerings. That would be a HORRIBLE shopping experience for our customers.

this is a huge problem and makes the plug-in unusable for any company that sells any sort of clothing product. And again, it worked fine with 1.0.38 but was broken with 2.0.

    Hi there @naroescapemotor,

I apologize for the late reply! I totally understand how annoying this is.

We do track such requests internally, and I added your report there to show the demand for bringing this feature back.

Please keep an eye on Square changelog to see if it’s added in the future releases.

You can also submit it to our Ideas Board which is also a good place to gather votes for a future publicly.

Having said that, I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

Enjoy the rest of your day and stay safe!
