How to add a pro-photo in the sidebar widget

  • We want to insert a pro-photo in a sidebar widget, but it seemed that it was not possible.
    We want to have a photo in the upper right corner of our sidebar, so when visitors come to our blog they will see the photo in the upper right corner under the header.
    If we can not use the widget, how can we do it ?
    We have inserted photos on the banner, in the post + a gallery, and we want to have a permanent photo in the sidebar below the header.

    We did not succeed.
    We are new to this. We usually copy and paste.
    What kind of code do you mean ?
    Is it the name of the file ?
    Is it another code, and where do we find it ?

    I have read all of the posts relating to my question of “HOW TO ADD A PHOTO INTO THE SIDE BAR” and have tried to add the code someone suggested to a text widget. Nothing seems to work. If I add the code to the text widget, only the code shows up and not the picture. I added both the code given above and the picture file code and the same problem occurs. Isn’t there anyone out there that can explain in a very detailed way how to accomplish this?

    Could the problem be with the size of the file for the picture? Do you know what the maximum size of the photo file should be for the side bar?

    This is code from one of my Text Widgets, I broke the link to my site:

    <img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-41" style="border:2px solid black;" title="8548_11-CR" src="https://yoursite-rants-etc.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/8548_11-cr.jpg" alt="8548_11-CR" width="125" height="100" />

    I put a picture in a regular Post – worked the size a bit, switched the editor to html mode and copied the code for the picture and pasted it into a text Widget.

    Sorry a bit crude.
