    Hi there,

for a week or so, i keep getting the error-message “You must submit the reCAPTCHA to proceed. Please try again.” when i try to login to my WordPress.
I haven’t changed the configuration/api-keys, yet all my WP-instances running iThemes Security Pro won’t let me in anymore. The only way to get in for me is to disable the iThemes-Plugin each time Plesks WordPress-Module before i go to the Login-Page.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot this one?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I just discovered I had the same problem as well. The way I fixed it was to download iThemes Security from their website directly, upload the plugin files manually with FTP (you could use cPanel to do it quicker) and then login again. Based on changelog, it looks like they put out an update today (12 March 2020) that fixes the problem.

As far as I can see (in the Changelog) the latest iTSec Pro release (6.5.0) only includes 1 enhancement related to reCAPTCHA:

Enhancement: Add reCAPTCHA to the Reset Password form.

That said there may be other reCAPTCHA tweaks that are left unmentioned in the Changelog ??

To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.

As predicted, the problem is gone with v6.5.0.
Thanks for the constructive input, gentlemen.
