• Hi! I’m suddenly receiving e-mails from Wordfence from three of my sites that someone tried to log in more then 20 times, resulting in me being locked out of wp-admin. I can fix this myself by using the form te activate login again, but it’s such a weird issue.

Only thing that connects these websites is the fact they are on the same server. So probably it has something to do with this… Any ideas?

    Hello, @stilld

Can you please send me over diagnostics from one of the sites you’re experiencing issues with via Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Send Report by Email and send that to wftest at wordfence dot com and please include your forum username in the second field.

Please respond here when that is sent.

    Hi @wfscott !

I’ve send the report. The issue is now spreading to more of my sites… All on the same server. I hope you can figure out what is happening…

    Thanks!

    Thanks, David.

Can you go to https://whatsmyip.org and then into Wordfence > All Options > General Wordfence Options > How does Wordfence get IPs. There, check if selecting X-Forwarded-For shows the Detected IPs and Your IP with This Setting matches the IP you see at the site above.

If so, save those settings and also check the other sites as well. At the moment, it appears the IP detection is not configured correctly.
