Do I have to update the sitemap and let google console know that I made changes?

Hi SEOpress.
I have already submitted the sitemap generated within seopress six months ago.
I’ve added a lot of products, pages and posts on my website/shop over the last months. I flushed the permalinks on the XML part of the seopress plugin.

Do I have to do anything else on the google console part of things like sending the updated sitemap to google console or do I just have to wait for google to crawl my site and check the sitemap automatically?
