Search Results not Clearing in the Search Listings Page

    Hi All,

    I am basically having an issue where a user is trying to search for say a ‘Builder’ in London, but when they go back and just search a blank category or blank location they get redirected to the search result ‘Builder in London’

    Is there a work around for this that i can give my client without sounding to technical.

    First of all we haven’t found any issue regarding search in latest version. And we’ve visited your site but haven’t found any directory pages where we can test the issue. So, please make sure that you have created/generated all the required pages and then inform us.

    Here’s a link to the page it’s password protected and the password is ‘Providence’ I basically want to see if there is a way of bypassing the fact that when you search for listing criteria it saves it the next time you search without adding a location or category

    The obvious work around is to set them as required fields but I thought I’d ask the question.

    You can enable the filter button in all listings page, so users don’t have to go back for updating search criteria.

    You can enable filter button from Directory Settings.

    Or adding this parameter advanced_filter="yes" to the add listing shortcode.
    Ex: [directorist_all_listing advanced_filter="yes"]
