CSV import of recurring events w/ location ID

Hi,

if in my forum search I have missed finding previous answers to a similar question, I apologize. (And would be happy for a link to those. ??

I am having trouble importing recurring events via CSV:
My client gave me a couple of hundred recurring events (series) as CSV.
They run a handful of locations, which are even more important than the individual events, so in Events Manager I I ticked “enable locations”, “require location” and “use dropdown for locations”, to connect events to the location ID. (So users can list events easily by location.)
My working hypothesis so far was to import the recurring events series as draft, and manually bulk-edit set them to publish so that all the individual events will be created from these series.

When I test export and import of a single recurring event series created in the backend with WP All Export and WP All Import, the import comes back broken, because apparently a lot of fields are not being read correctly. (Despite using the export csv for import without any edits.)

When I use Ultimate CSV Importer, I am missing the functionality to connect a recurring event series to the ID of an event location.

Would anyone of you have an idea how to solve this, or an alternate approach to try out?
