Trouble finding a good content restricting plugin

I have been having trouble finding a good plugin for my needs.

I just need a simple plugin that restricts certain post categories (preferably just all at once) and specific pages from being accessed by logged out users.

I don’t need any additional features such as login/registration, paying, user management etc. As they would slow my site down or even worse create conflict with existing functionality.

Does anybody know a good plugin/code/tutorial that does this? Anonymous Restricted content used to do this, but it seems now I would have to go through every single post.
