Upgrading WordPress with IPB Bridge

Hello all,

I’m not really sure if this is the right subforum to post this is, but I have a question about WordPress 2.6.5 and the InvisionPowerBoard Forums Bridge plugin. The plugin has allowed me to have users register in wordpress, and also be able to log into my forum board without making a second account. I really hate the way the administration panel looks in 2.6.5, and I have used 2.8 before and like the look and feel of the admin panel. But if I upgrade to 2.8, will the IPB bridge plugin still work? It said it was compatible with IPB 2.3.x and WordPress 2.5 or 2.6, and ever since then I have been hesitant to upgrade in fear of losing the capabilities of the plugin i am using. Will the plugin still work if I upgrade to 2.8.5? Or will it stop working?
