• Hi,

I’m building a site which is nearly all in English, however, the company has multiple offices around the world and want to have an individual page for each office in English and a version in the local language (ie. for the Paris office, an English and French translation page).

I’m using a static home page and blog page and have created a custom post type for the offices.

In total there will be 20 different languages, is there to turn off all translation option for everything put the office post type? and force everything else to the default language?

Thanks for any help or ideas.

    Hello,

Even if the posts and pages are translatable by default, you are no obliged to translate them. There is however an exception. If you use a static front page, it must be translated in all languages.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I was hoping to not have 20 versions of the home page, as that also adds 20 hreflang tags in the header. And it seems I have to set up redirects to force it back to the default home page.
