• Even though the Settings/Misc is correct

    wp-content/uploads

when installing plug-ins, uploading media or doing anything involving the wp-content folder I get an “Unable to create directory” error becuase the correct path is being prefixed by /home/.sites/106/site857/

    The full error is:

Unable to create directory /home/.sites/106/site857/web/notices/wp-content/uploads/2009/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

The access rights to the uploads folder is correct at 755 – but I think the issue is this weird prefix to the path? I’m keen to sort this out without re-installing WordPress. Is there anywhere either within the database or in the WordPress install where this weird prefix path is coming from?

    WordPress install is: https://www.stmaryoftheangels.org.uk

    Thanks for your help….

Fixed it. I needed to create and give 777 permissions to the Upload folder. Wow and I thought that weird path was to blame!!!!
