Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR…

  • I get this error when trying to upload the Webcomic Plugin:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/vg000web00/00/57/3005700/web/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/webcomic/includes/wc-core.php on line 202

    What can I do to fix this?

  • If you look it up, it means you got one of these– ->— where it shouldn’t be on line 202 of wc-core.php in the webcomic plugin’s include directory. The first thing I’d try would be re-downloading the plugin, unzipping it and reuploading. If that doesn’t work paste line 202 and about ten or so lines above it plus a few after it.
