I searched around this forum but I didn’t find the help I need, so I am looking forward to your smart(er) folks pointing me in the right direction. I know just enough “webstuff” to be dangerous, but I am not afraid to try.

I am having a problem on the meeting list page. When I click the link to get there it looks fine and dandy. Meetings shown in full. The problem arises when I use one of the sorting buttons ie change the date. Then it doesn’t return the correct results for the day I choose.

If I then press enter in the address bar with the search query loaded (from changing the button), it then shows the meetings correctly for eg https://nanaimoaa.org/meetings/?tsml-day=2

I am not entirely sure if this is new behavior. I do not remember if I tested it with all the meetings when I got it running in Jan. I recently added in the berlin aa plugin – which is when I noticed this happening, but I am not convinced it is related.

I deactivated all the plugins (and deactivated and deleted berlinaa) so see if there was a conflict – no dice. I am stuck running an older wp (and thus sql) and php due to hosting issues. We are migrating hosts so I will finally be able to get those up to date, YAY.

Any ideas or assistance you can provide would be gratefully received :). At this time it is extremely important to keep our membership informed, and this tool has so many ways to do that!

    Cheers,
    Christine

    Hi Christine,

When you say “it doesn’t return the correct results for the day I choose” are you saying the results returned are for different search criteria, or that you don’t get any results?

I am seeing some entries in your meeting list that appear to be without physical addresses (i.e., Ucluelet West Coast Group, Out From Under, etc). Can you confirm those addresses are entered and correct? Or did you somehow remove those addresses (trash & restore the meeting?)? We are trying to track a particular issue down, and your answers will help with this.

    Thank you.

Thank you EVER so much for your help! Yes I had trashed some meetings as a temp workaround and restored them the other day with the temp closure tag.

It is interesting though (in an error tracking way), that meetings that had an address still listed did not show.

When you say “it doesn’t return the correct results for the day I choose” are you saying the results returned are for different search criteria, or that you don’t get any results?

If for eg the page initially loaded sunday meetings (because it was sunday), and you wanted to see what was on monday and changed the day to monday – only a handful of meetings would show instead of the full list. Not just the ones with addresses there, it was a real mixed bag. Many with addresses would not show. If you then clicked in the browser address bar (which the plugin puts there) https://nanaimoaa.org/meetings/?tsml-day=1 and press enter, all the monday meetings would show up. I hope I am explaining this correctly.

This appears to be resolved now. Thank god for backup csv files. Made hunting the locations down a matter of copy paste.

    Cheers,
    Christine

Glad it is working. We have a bug report on the issue, but so far I’ve not been able to reproduce the problem on my site.

For anyone else reading this and experiencing the problem, the quickest solution is to ensure all your meetings have addresses associated. If you have trashed and restored meetings, reenter the location & address if it is empty.

@tech2serve I am having an issue with filtering as well.

    filtered meeting list

Above is a link to our meeting list page, with the filter set to everywhere, any day, any time, online type. There are online meetings everyday, but the list only shows Monday to Friday. Is there a limit to the number of results displayed per page? If so, there is nor pagination links to display the remaining results.

All of the meetings on Sat / Sun (the ones not being displayed) have addresses in their listings.

As a follow-on, this seems to only happen randomly, as I just refreshed the page and it displayed the meetings for everyday. Then I cleared my browser history, repeated the same filters, and it showed the truncated results again. Not sure what is going on

We are having this issue as well. If I load the meeting page and select ‘Sunday’ in the day drop-down, it only shows the first meeting of the day. If I refresh the page or just put my mouse in the address bar and press ‘enter’, it loads the entire list for Sunday. If I re-select ‘Sunday’ in the day drop-down, it goes back to showing just the first meeting. The app seems to show all the meetings for each day.

This is happening on 2 sites, 1 of which is a test site and hosted by a different provider, with a different php version. (Test site not linked directly to the app).

Both sites have version 3.6.6 of the app. The published official site is https://intergroup5.org/meetings

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated!

We have found the problem – there was a meeting with an incomplete address. It listed a community center on a main highway, but not the street number. Once the street number was added, the address resolved and the list showed correctly for Sunday.
