• I am currently running Version 2.1.2 and whenever I or my members try to upload a profile photo or a cover photo we get the error: Your image is invalid!

I’ve tried to increase the size on the values upload_max_filesize and post_max_size which did not help. I also tried to set values in the upload settings for Profile Photo Maximum File Size (bytes) and Cover Photo Maximum File Size (bytes) which did nothing as well.

I can verify that I can upload the images I tried to use to the sites media library successfully.

I also tried the conflict testing procedure of deactivating all plugins except ultimate member and using a default WordPress theme (I used the Twenty Twenty theme) and that resulted in the same problem.

I feel like I’ve tried everything and now I am really hoping someone has an answer.

    Thanks,

Does anyone check these posts? And does no one else have this issue?

So I identified the issue as NOT being the Ultimate Member plugin itself. I figured this out by setting up a BRAND NEW WordPress site from scratch and by only installing the Ultimate Member plugin to that fresh install. I had the same issue. I could upload images to the Media Library but not upload images using the Ultimate Member Profile Photo or Cover Photo functions. This meant that the problem had to be with my server itself.

My question now is … what are the technical requirements for the Ultimate Member Plugin to work. Are there specific PHP requirements or a specific library that needs to be available?

I am using NGINX on the back end to server multiple WordPress sites. I hope someone sees this and can supply the information needed to get this operational.

    Thank you.
