How to insert label or value of a select in notifications?

I’m still very interested to find out how to make this work. I could not find anything in your documentation unfortunately.
When I insert a select field {field:example} which has choices with values and labels, both, value and label, are being displayed in the email together. How can I separate them?

When setting up your select field ACF gives you the option to either return the value, label, or both. This is also what is used by my plugin when rendering the field value.

There is no way currently to select which one to use through the merge tag. Because you need both I would recommend implementing it yourself with a little bit of code. You can either do that by using the email filters to dynamically populate the recipient and email content: https://advancedforms.github.io/filters/af-form-email-recipient/ and https://advancedforms.github.io/filters/af-form-email-content/. Or you could add your own merge tag for your field: https://advancedforms.github.io/guides/advanced/adding-custom-merge-tags/.
