Deleted posts

  • Hello!

    My recent posts have all been deleted!

    They are not in trash.

    They are nowhere.

    When I google the title i can see the iages and the link but clicking on it takes me to 404 page.

    This is a years worth of writing, thousands of words and devastating!

    I have several self hosted wordpress blogs and it is frightening to think they can just disappear.

    Please help

  • Do you remember the last time your blog was OK? Contact your host to see if they do daily backups. Usually the bigger hosts do. Then see if they will restore your site. And let them know what date your blog was last good. Just know that if you made any updates to your blog after that backup, they will disappear when the backup gets restored, i.e., if you ask for the backup from 3/25 to be restored, and you had made an entry on 3/27, then that 3/27 entry will disappear.
