    Hello,

I just updated two of the websites I administer to 5.4 and updated PHP for both to 7.3. Both sites are maintained on the same hosting platform. One seems to be completely without issues since updating. On the other site, I have noticed that paragraph blocks all seem broken. Whether a page or post existed before the update or if I attempted to create it since, each instance of a paragraph block displays “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” The options for the side block settings on the side panel do not work for these blocks, either.

All themes and plugins are up to date, and I disabled a number of plugins that aren’t critical to the site. The problem persisted despite this. I installed the Gutenberg plugin to see if it might override whatever issue seems to be present with paragraph blocks in this site environment, but the problem is still here.

The site is a Multisite instance, though it only has one active site. I had a different vision when initially launching it which resulted in that quirk. I upgraded the network and the site on the network. Paragraph blocks seem to be the only issue that arose from the upgrade. I never had any issues with blocks beforehand.

If you have any ideas about what might be causing this problem or how to resolve it, they would be much appreciated. If there is more that you would need to know, feel free to ask clarifying questions. Thanks in advance!
