    Hi there,

I run a directory website where both users and guest CAN publish custom posts from and to the frontend. As I am reading reviews, it is clear to me that TranslatePress should do the trick with standard Pages or even Posts (from the blog) but I am not sure about this other thing.

    Custom posts have:
    (1) Strings which are chosen from a list (that I sent from the back end). Example: I let the user decide if the custom product is: red, green or blue and mandatorily they MUST choose one.
    (2) Strings that are freely written by them. It could be blank or it could be a text up to 1600 characters.

About (2) I am almost sure that this plugin can’t translate AUTOMATICALLY the text string if any, am I right?
About (1), is there any way I can translate those strings from the backend so they see red, green and blue in another language?

    Thank you.
    Adrian

    Hello Adrian,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

    (1) All translations are saved into the wp_trp* tables from the database.
You can try editing them from there.

    (2) Yes, you are right.
Our plugin is not able to translate automatically this type of strings.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best regards,

    Hello Dragos,

I have been playing around with the DEMO version and now I am not sure whether my explanation was good enough and you understood me.

Is there any way I can send you some links privately to continue the discussion?

    Thanks
    Adrian.
