@rajdomains Can you try attempt setup with the following plugins temporarily deactivated, there may be particular configurations applied which could be impacting setup.
– Proxy Cache Purge
– Really Simple SSL
– Autoptimize

Please attempt setup once more using a browser incognito window. Let me know if that allows you to proceed with setup.

Autoptimize does not do page caching and is not active on the backend (which I presume is where Site Kit is activated).

“Proxy Cache Purge” is a plugin in use by Dreamhost to purge Dreamhosts Varnish caches, so the problem might be with page caching at host level (so disabling “proxy cache purge” might not help either).

@optimizingmatters You are right, it’s @siteground hosting issue. I tried installing the plugin to other websites hosted with @siteground and the same issue.

I have tried pausing the cache plugin in cpanel

@rajdomains thanks for the update. At this point, Site Kit is trying to place the verification token on your site. Depending on the circumstances it could be a virtual file in the backend or a meta tag in the frontend.

1) Could you visit this link and let us know which versions of your site are listed?

2) Are you perhaps using another caching plugin at the moment- WP Rocket? I see references for this now in your source code.

3) It also looks like you might be using Cloudflare? I’m not sure if you’re using caching functionality there, but this might be also a good place to check. Attempting setup in their development mode may help.

Finally, I am able to verify my site. I just renamed my .htaccess file and then it verified smoothly.
