Absolutely loving HD Quiz and seeing a lot of new traffic on RocketSTEM thanks to being able to add quizzes now.

All of our quizzes have 10 questions and are set to Randomize Question Order. The WP Pagination is set to 0, however, the questions always appear to stay in the same order. Uncertain what the culprit is.

    Hi chasec,
first, make sure that you do not have page caching enabled or the randomized order will get cached too!

Second, there is a known bug (already fixed in the next version) with randomization and WP Pagination. Instead of setting WP Pagination to 0, set it to just nothing, empty. This should fix the issue for you ??

Thank you. I’m not aware of any page caching enabled, although we do have page acceleration turn on in Jetpack as well as a separate CDN service.

Switching the WP Pagination to blank did not fix the issue either.

No worries really though, as this is a minor gripe and not a must-have feature for us.

    Hi Chase,
I actually pushed out a minor update that slightly updates how questions are randomized yesterday to help with sites where another plugin or theme was overriding default WordPress queries.

Since this issue only affects a super small fraction of HD Quiz users, I did not increment the HD Quiz version number – meaning that you will not be prompted to “update” from within WordPress.

However, this update may fix the issue for you, so it’s worth a try!

All you have to do is deactivate then delete HD Quiz, then reinstall from the respository as normal. You will not lose any data or information by doing this
