plugin deactivation with the latest upgrade

  • I use your excellent plugin for managing and notifying updates on my clients’ websites.

    I wanted to warn you that, by setting the automatic update of the plugins (I use the Managed Update plugin) by updating to the latest version, the plugin deactivates itself and loses the settings (it is practically as if it were just installed)

  • I had the same problem. I solved it by deleting and new installation & activation. Will this bug fixed in the next release of WP Update Notifier? I use WP Updates Notifier for many years on all my WP websites, it’s incredibly useful and it could be also very helpful core function of WordPress, indeed.

    Perhaps the problem is the PHP version. After switching to PHP 7.4 from 7.3 the plugin was deactivated again.
