Is there a way to limit the sync (ie. only add signups) to users that have gone through the checkout process? (instead of all users signing up on the site)

    tl;dr
I’m running a job board with WP Job Manager, and have two types of users, Candidates and Employers. These users can register on the site as either one without having to buy anything. These users are then synced using MC4WP to an audience called “general”.
I installed your plugin so that I could set up a follow-up email automation for the Employers that purchased job listings. I created a separate audience called “orders” for this. This part works good, so no issues there.

The issue I have is that even users who are registering as Candidates (or Employers), are also being synced to the “orders” audience. So they’re being added just by registering as a user on the site, and not having to go through checkout. This also means all users are being synced to both audiences.

Ideally, I would like users to be added to the “orders” audience only after they’ve been through the checkout process, and not have the plugin sync all users registering on the site. I think this is happening because the signups are controlled by WooCommerce, but not totally sure about on that.

    Thanks!

Just wondering if this is going to get a response or not? I’m seeing other posts on here getting multiple responses since I posted this. At least an acknowledgement or something that it’s been seen and a response is being formulated?
    Thanks.

Hi @npagazani, our apologies again for the delay. The easiest thing to do here would be to adjust some settings in your Audience or Automation(s). Here at the plugin team, we don’t get into the daily “how-tos” with Mailchimp. But, if we’re understanding your situation clearly, you should simply be able to adjust your Automation to trigger on customers who have purchased something. That way, the Candidates don’t receive the email.

Lastly, you are correct on the last comment. We do sync those new customers who register for an account if they opt-in to your newsletter.

Let us know if you have any follow up questions, happy to help!
