• Hello,

I’m working on a local install on Mac with AMPPS.
    Mac under High Sierra 10.13
Ampps (3,8). I tried 3.9 with same issue.

I created a mysite.localhost on Amppps. It works fine.
I installed a new install of WordPress. As usual I get the final message at the end.

    mysite.localhost for the site.
    mysite.localhost/wp-admin/ for the admin login.

However, mynewsite.localhost resolves to localhost. And when I then have to click the link to mynewsite.localhost, it resolve to mynewsite.localhost/mynewsite.localhost.

Finaly, the last url display a wordpress welcome page, but without any pict or css. I could show you a screenshot to give you an idea.

    Could you help me ?
    Thank you.

I believe I may be able to help, but you may not be happy with my advice, which is this:

Wipe out what you have and start over. This time do not preface the url, keep it as simply localhost. In Settings->General give your url as https://localhost.

I run this setup on a LAMP stack on my computer. I have no experience with Ampps, so this may not work for you, although I believe it should.

    Good Luck!

Thank your Richard for your answer.

I’m not sure to understand when you write “keep it as simple localhost”: I have “localhost”.

https://localhost display a page with all my local web sites are listed, as link.

    mysite1.localhost
    mysite2.localhost

    .

The old one are working nice. Anyway, some are not working as I describe in my precedent post. And if I create a new website install, the result is the same as those are not working. (screenshot).

I tried to scratch everything and install again Ampps but no change…
May be I have a wrong conf file somewhere but I can’t understand where.

I’ve forgotten to precise I check if the database was correctly connected and it’s ok. The data base is well connected.

Ahh, I didn’t realize you have multiple local sites. I can’t help with that. Hopefully, someone else will chime in here. Sorry, I hope you get the issue solved.
