categories next to posts order

  • hello,

    is there a way to display categories next to post in the inheritance order?
    like I have main two categories here, “let’s talk” and “let’s sing”. I would like these two to go first, and subcategories to be second, regardless of the alphabetic order.

    is this possible?

    Oh ok I wasn’t very clear, sorry for that.
    I have categories sorted in a simple tree:

    Hírek
    -blog
    -interjú
    -whatever else

    I would like the top category to go first, before whatever other subcategory the post has – and currently it is sorted alphabetically (blog goes first).

    If you go here, the second page of the blog has two subcategories and you can see how interjú goes after hírek and blog goes before:

    Ok that makes sense now, thanks for explaining. There isn’t a default option to adjust this, sorry! You would need to add a custom function into a child theme.
