• An organic Google search for my site produces a mess! I’ve tried putting meta tags for keywords & description in the Header.php code- didn’t seem to work.

Throughout my posts where prompted I have put in keywords.

    I have All-in-One SEO plugin

I just installed META SEO Pack plugin

Google title & description from organic search- I can’t figure out where in the heck it’s pulling this info from my on blog.

keywords- I can’t figure out where Google is pulling those either. I’m only using a few targeted keywords, but if I use Google Keyword Research Tool and type in my URL- it shows a ton of keywords that I’m not even targeting?

    I need SEO help bad!

  • 1) Stick with one SEO plugin, like All in One SEO. I’m sure that using more than one will conflict.

    2) Putting your own meta tags in header.php isn’t going to do much unless you have php code to select them as to what page and post they belong to, and will conflict with the SEO plugin, which is trying to do the same thing.

    3) What “prompts” you to put keywords in posts, anyway?

    4) Look at your page source to see where the mess is coming from. If you have duplicate meta tags, that’s a mess and that’s what is throwing google off and impacting your SEO.
