Header social email address

The header social email link for some reason adds an “https://” in front of the email address. How do I fix this?

Workflow:

In the header social email box, I put my email address ([email protected]). But when I click on/hover over the email icon on the header it links to https://[email protected] and/or “mailto:https://[email protected]”.

How do I remove the :https://” ?
