WordFence vs HTTPS

    Question from a clueless newbie:

    Please explain the difference and/or interaction between WordFence Pro and the host-based HTTPS URL protection.

    Do I need both?

  • Hey @type-historian,

    I’d definitely suggest using both. Wordfence hardens your WordPress site, which is a PHP application. The HTTPS protocol encrypts the information that’s sent to and from your site, which is very important.
